Christmas Island

Christmas island

There is nothing like hunting bones, triggerfish, Bluefin trevally, Sweetlips or any of the many other flats fish that call Christmas Is. home.  Miles and miles and miles of flats to wade and hunt and sight-cast to them.  This is truly a year-round fishery and destination.  I like going in late fall and early winter, when there are fewer anglers on the water.  We stay at The Villages.  It is right on the lagoon, so there is no long boat ride to get to the large catamarans that take 4 anglers and 4 guides (1 guide for every angler) to fishing areas throughout the lagoon.  Lunch is taken on the boat.  There are two other options that do require a long ride in the truck, but, as far as I'm concerned, are worth it if the tides are right.  That is to go to the ocean side and/or the gate, both on the other side of the atoll.  Both are beautiful on their own and are an awesome experience.  Plus at either place, there is a good chance to spot a GT and maybe get a cast off to it and maybe even get a hook up.  It is just gorgeous over there.  My hosted trip dates are: October 27 to November 3, 2021.  Of course, you don't have to fish only those dates. There are dates available most of the year around.  Contact me for information.  I do not charge you any more for the trip than the lodge.  You don't pay a penny extra for  booking through me.  I have been there 5 times and know the schedule pretty well and if I don't have the answers for your questions right away, I'll get it as quick as is possible.
